Workshop on Christian Unity - 2005

Orleans, Louisiana
Over
400 participants are expected at the 2005 National
Workshop on Christian Unity, which will be held at
the Sheraton Hotel, 500 Canal Street in New Orleans,
April 4-7, 2005. The Opening Worship Service will
be held at St. Louis Cathedral on Monday, April 4,
at 7 PM. The Rev. Delores Carpenter,
Disciples of Christ will serve as preacher for the
service. Other speakers include the Most Rev.
Richard Sklba, Auxiliary Bishop from Milwaukee
and Dr. Paul Anderson of George Fox
University in Newberg, OR. The public is invited to
attend.
The registration fee is $125; $50 for daily registration;
seminarians - $15, for the Workshop, with additional
fees for special events.

San
Jose, California
Although
the final decision is yet to be made, plans are
underway to take the 2006 National Workshop on Christian
Unity to the capital of Silicon Valley, San Jose,
California. Located between San Francisco
and the Carmel - Pebble Beach resort area, San Jose
is the west coast's largest city north of Los Angeles.
If arrangements can be completed, as planned, all
events should be within a walking distance of the
workshop hotel. The Local Planning Committee
and the National Planning Committee are working
together to complete plans which will lead to a
final decision being made. learn
