National Planning Committee Completes Plans for 2004 National Workshop

The Planning Committee for the National Workshop on Christian Unity met on Sept. 8-9 to complete plans for the 2004 National Workshop on Christian Unity.  Planning Committee Membership

The September 8-9 meeting was held in Omaha, Nebraska, the site of the 2004 meeting.  The 2004 meeting will be held from May 10 through 13 at the Downtown Doubletree Hotel in Omaha.

Martin Marty to Present

Workshop Keynote

The Keynote speaker for the 2004 National Workshop in Christian Unity will be Martin Marty, the Fairfax M Cone Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus at the University of Chicago.  Other key speakers will be Bishop Carol Gallagher who will speak at the Opening Worship on the evening of Monday, May 10th.  Dr. William Tabernee, a member of the World Council of Churches Faith and Order Commission, will be the Bible Study Leader for the National Workshop.  The Closing Plenary speaker will be Bishop Rymes H. Moncure, Methodist Bishop of the South Central Jurisdictional Conference.
